PhD Rotations

Students interested in rotating in the Christensen lab are encouraged to contact Brock to discuss ongoing work and potential rotation projects.

Our group has several active projects, examples include:

  • Immune epigenetic biomarkers of cancer outcomes: using cell-type-specific DNA methylation for immunophenotyping

  • Noninvasive molecular assessment of breast health: DNA methylation profiling in normal breast tissue and breast milk to investigate the underlying biology of breast cancer risk factors

  • DNA methylation in breast carcinogenesis and pre-invasive breast cancer
  • Genetic variation in miRNA binding sites: relation with bladder cancer recurrence and survival, and head and neck cancer risk and prognosis
